Center to Offer High-Quality STEM Education for Underserved Bay Area Children

SAN MATEO, Calif., June 5, 2025 – Construction is officially underway on Midway Village 2, a transformative development project that includes a 15,000-square-foot childcare center for underserved Bay Area children that will be run by Peninsula Family Service (PFS). The building, expected to be completed in 2027, will include state-of-the-art features, furniture, fixtures, structures and equipment for classrooms and playgrounds, as well as full curriculum components and start-up staff.

PFS is one of the largest early learning providers on the Peninsula with nine sites that annually serve more than 600 children from infants to 12 years.
